Playwright: Ray Sheers
Snooks Beacon thinks his afterlife is taking a turn for the better when he finds an abandoned theatre to haunt. But death will never be the same when he receives a surprise visit from the One in Charge and finds out that the One in Charge is a woman. She tells him about all of the changes that have happened since he went down with the Titanic in 1912, including women’s right to vote, Womens’ Lib, and equal pay (“What? Who gave them the right to vote?”). Now accused of interfering with the living (for fun), the One in Charge orders Snooks to work the Grim Reaper shift for 48 hours. If he collects the selected souls in less than 48 hours, he will be allowed to haunt the theatre indefinitely; if not, he’ll end up on another sinking ship.
